With a focus on cinematic storytelling, The People’s Republic of Animation (PRA) specialises in providing stylised character animation to the world's leading console game developers, publishers and advertising agencies.
The PRA team is passionate about storytelling and we have written, directed and produced a number of international award-winning short films. Our most recent short, The Cat Piano (2009) made the Oscar shortlist for the ‘Best Animated Short ‘ category at the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010.
Our games work to date includes cinematics and trailers for Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii titles such as ModNation Racers, de Blob (1 and 2), The Last Airbender, Scooby Doo: First Frights, Hellboy: the Science of Evil, Pinata: Party Animals and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen among others.
In commercial production, our work includes award-winning TVC’s for brands such as Bridgestone, Mitsubishi, Rundle Mall and Coopers to name a few.
